Welcome

This special space, once unused glebe land, is being transformed by the Lindisfarne community into a vibrant garden of pilgrimage, peace, and biodiversity.

Our project draws inspiration from St. Aidan, the founder of the Lindisfarne monastery in 635 AD. St. Aidan's enduring faith sparked a movement that transformed the north of England - a fire of hope and compassion that we aim to rekindle in this physical place.

Today, thousands journey to Holy Island seeking peace and tranquillity. This garden is a gift to all who come here, a place where past, present, and future meet on a shared path.

Developed by a dedicated team of island volunteers, this garden expresses our collective hope for a sustainable future. It's a journey that shows what we can achieve when we work together with nature and community.
